"By the morning, you will be free of all your troubles", this was spoken to King Hameer of Ranthambore in his dreams by Lord Ganesha. He was a dedicated devotee of Lord Ganesha and he would never forget to offer prayers to him in any situation. The war that was continuously being fought between King Hameer, and Alauddin Khilji that started in 1299 was making the king worried because the sustenance stock was about to be exhausted very soon, it is then, he had this dream. As he woke up from the dream he saw a symbol of Lord Ganesha as trinetra(three eyes) on one of the walls of the fortress, and the war that was going on resolved on its own. For this reason, King Hameer decided to build this temple.

This ancient temple is the only temple to have the family of Lord Ganesha along with his idol. The temple consists of his two wives Riddhi and Siddhi, and two sons Shubh, and Labh. It is at a distance of 7 kilometers from Astroport Ranthambore. As it is within the Ranthambore fortress, and the Ranthambore National Park, it would be wise to leave for the place early in the morning so that you get to see all the places satisfactorily. Once you reach the Ranthambore Fort, you will have to walk two kilometers to the top of the Fort to see the temple. Many devotees also send their letters to the temple, concerning their problems, which is then read out loud by the priest for Lord Ganesha to listen. In case, the letters are written in another language, then the priest just opens the letter and keeps it in front of Lord Ganesha to read.

Near the temple, you will see many troops of langurs gathered around. It is because the devotees or the visitors often feed them the prasad (a devotional offering made to God) so be ready to see them and offer them something. You will also get a fantastic extended view of the fort, and the Aravali Ranges from the top, which feels even more majestic.
